About

I’m Ava, which is short for Avaline, which is short for “Avaline is a cooler name than my real one.”  I’m living in a little midwestern town by way of a big city in Colorado, by way of a much bigger city on the East Coast.  I love sewing, music, coffee, cars, and anything involving adrenaline.  I seem to have a lot of opinions about any of the above topics and share them enthusiastically.  I’ve seen many things and have many stories, as we all do.

Now that I’m in my fourth decade of being alive, I get down sometimes about the fact that things just don’t seem as exciting as they once did.  Truthfully, things are much better than they’ve ever been–it’s just that I’m realizing now that drama is the true American addiction, and without it, things seem a little… ordinary.  Normal is the new weird, and I’m trying to get on board with it.

So basically, this blog is about me, and how I’m just like everyone else.  Right?

Here are some flamingos because they're awesome.

  1. Hi Ava! My name is Cameron and I had a quick question for you! At your earliest convenience, could you please email me? I would greatly appreciate it! 🙂

  2. Great blog – you write well. I enjoyed your honest confessions and observations, esp about being NFP type. I thought I was the only one who felt like that! Phew. We are a different kettle of fish and I think there is a book in it if it had a comedic slant. Keep up the great work.

    • Erin – Thank you so much! I’m glad you have enjoyed my random musings about… things and stuff. You are certainly not alone in the INFP world, although we can sometimes be hard to recognize since we aren’t the ones out there screaming, “Hey! Look at me!”

Thanks again for reading, and I’ll let you know when the book comes out 🙂 (seriously, I really am working on one. it’s a work of fiction, but much of the inspiration is at least partly true)

      Ava
